SOLEFORCE™ by RGD Technologies

Fully integrated sensing technology which enables the user to definitively determine weight applied through a lower limb.

SOLEFORCE™ Technology can be used in a variety of applications including sneaker, cast, and CAM Walker type devices.  A thin insole is placed into the appropriate footwear to measure the forces applied by the patient.  A small foot mounted display and LED guide bar helps guide the patient to their prescribed allowed weight.

LED Light Bar Guides Patient As They Step

PictureLED light bar illuminated for Under, Good, and Overweight condtions

The LED light bar on top of the SOLEFORCE™ is essential to guiding the patient to an accurate allowable weight per step.  The LED's illuminate progressively as weight is applied, so the patient can reach his/her target weight each and every step with precision.

The SOLEFORCE™ is a device that aids in a patient’s successful recovery from injury; allowing fractures to heal with proper weight distribution and greatly reduces the possibility of damaging hardware, bones, ligaments and tendons post surgery.  This ground breaking device eliminates any guesswork by the patient. The SOLEFORCE™ displays how much weight is being applied in real time and outputs additional sensory notifications for an "acceptable weight" and "overweight" condition, ensuring the patient remains at or below the prescribed allowed weight each step.  The allowable weight range and notifications can be adjusted as needed with two simple tactile buttons integral to the SOLEFORCE™ case.

Performance Report Of Every Step

Picture
In addition to the real time visual and auditory feedback on the foot mounted device, the SOLEFORCE™ utilizes Bluetooth LE technology to wirelessly transmit the patient's step data to a smartphone for a full performance report that is automatically updated each time the patient looks at it.  The maximum weight applied in each step is recorded, which is then stored and displayed to the patient in the report.  This data can be used by both the patient and doctor to monitor performance and ensure partial weight bearing compliance.

With SOLEFORCE Feedback, 100% of Patients Show Improvement In Their Ability To Stay Within Their Prescribed Weight Range

- With no feedback, on average a patient is 57% away from the allowable weight range prescribed by their doctor

 - With SOLEFORCE feedback, on average a patient is within 9% of the prescribed weight range

- With no feedback, 90.5% of test patients do not come within 25% of the prescribed weight range

- Of those 90.5%, 73.7% of them are over 50% away from the prescribed weight range

- With SOLEFORCE feedback, 95.2% of patients come within 25% of the prescribed weight range

- With SOLEFORCE feedback, 85.7% of patients showed a 70% or more improvement in accuracy for falling within their prescribed allowed weight range

- With SOLEFORCE feedback, 100% of patients showed improvement in their ability to stay within their prescribed weight range
